Glorious Winter Day Fishing

Another wonderful day on the blue ribbon waters in Cherokee, NC.  The water temperature: 42 degrees, atmospheric temperature: 45 degrees.  This 20" beauty, with roe, was one of four in the 20 inch category plus 4 others not quite so large.....plus some other "early release" ones.  The morning fly du jour was a #12 olive wooly bugger, beaded.  The afternoon choice was a beaded #12 Prince Nymph (ish).  Seems like the feet are in their comfort zone at 38 degrees plus.  Our Native American friends have done the fly fishermen of the Smokies proud.
